The Canadian Start-Up Visa is a program designed to attract immigrant entrepreneurs who can help grow Canada’s economy by starting innovative businesses. NAIA can help you achieve your Canadian dream.
Here’s are the ins and outs of this program:
Are you eligible?
To be eligible for the Start-Up Visa program, the applicant must have a qualifying business, have secured a commitment from a designated Canadian venture capital fund or angel investor group to invest in the business, and meet language and education requirements.
You will also need to get a letter of support from a designated organization (either a venture capital fund, angel investor group, or business incubator) that approves and supports the business plan. This letter must be submitted with the application for a Start-Up Visa.
Filling out your application
You must complete an application for a Start-Up Visa, which includes personal and business information, financial statements, and other supporting documents.
Your application will then be evaluated by the Canadian government to ensure that all requirements are met. This includes assessing the viability and potential success of the business.
Coming to Canada
When the application is approved, you will receive a letter of introduction from the Canadian government, which allows them to apply for a temporary work permit. The work permit will be issued for up to five years, and it allows you and your team to come to Canada and start the business.
Once the business has been established and meets certain criteria (such as creating jobs for Canadians or making significant revenue),you will be able apply for permanent residency in Canada.
Overall, the Start-Up Visa program is designed to help immigrant entrepreneurs bring their innovative business ideas to Canada and contribute to the country’s economy.
